Old Guys

Seniors. Old guys. Grey hairs. Codgers.
Whatever you call us, don't piss us off. Especially in Switzerland:

BIEL, Switzerland – Swiss police say they may have to change tactics in their hunt for a fugitive gunman who shot and seriously wounded one officer in the western city of Biel.

Police commander Francois Gaudy told reporters Friday that officers had tried to avoid bloodshed "but this doctrine has its limits."

Public anger in Switzerland is growing after police failed to apprehend 67-year-old Peter Hans Kneubuehl two days after he barricaded himself at home in a dispute over the house's sale.

After holing up in the house Wednesday, Kneubuehl opened fire at police early Thursday and then successfully fled even as police surrounded the house.

Some 100 police officers including SWAT teams, dog handlers and a helicopter equipped with heat-detecting cameras have been deployed to search for the man.

Let Him Be, Let Him Be

Mark D. Chapman 1981

The nutcase that murdered Beatle John Lennon has been denied parole for the sixth time on a 20 year to life bid. From Fox News:

John Lennon's killer has again been denied parole, nearly 30 years after gunning down the ex-Beatle outside the singer's New York City apartment building.

A parole board on Tuesday denied Mark David Chapman his freedom after an interview at Attica Correctional Facility in upstate New York.

"A three member panel of the parole board interviewed Chapman this morning and we just got results back a little while ago," NY State Division of Parole spokesman Marc Violette told FoxNews.com. "He has been denied parole."

It was Chapman's sixth appearance before the parole board since becoming eligible for release in 2000. He's eligible again in 2012.

I dare say that Mr. Chapman should prepare himself for the only thing he'll be seeing outside of the Attica Correctional Facility: worms.

When Immigration Reform Equals Surrender

Over to that great site - The American Thinker - Bob Weir has a post wherein he exclaims that he is sick and tired of the debate over immigration reform.

If I hear one more politician, news anchor, or talk show host say that the first thing we must do to stop illegal immigration is "secure the border," I think I'm going to be sick. Moreover, if I hear the term "comprehensive immigration reform" again, I'll probably begin to retch with disgust. The reason for my stomach-turning impulse comes from the frustration I feel when I hear meaningless phrases used repeatedly by those who have no plan for their implementation.

And I can agree with that. So much verbiage, so little action.

We hear about building a 2,000-mile fence as we watch videos of people climbing over portions of recently constructed fences. We hear about state and federal officers assigned to guard the border while acknowledging that we don't have enough manpower to become 24-hour sentinels, stretching across several states. When U.S. citizens take it upon themselves to organize and guard their borders, they're maligned as "vigilantes" and "hate-mongers" by those who know how to work the system to turn common sense on its head.

And again, I concur with Mr. Weir. Half measures only frustrate or infuriate us. It is like a surgeon stitching up only half a gaping wound. Groundskeepers mowing only half the baseball field. Carpenters building only half your house. Getting only half a slice of cheesecake.

Euphemisms are going to be the death of us because their usage tends to transmogrify reality. If you are a citizen of this country, the United States is your home! When someone breaks into your home, he should be referred to as a lawbreaker, not stroked and coddled like a lost pet that strayed into your yard. Would a burglar, walking along the street with your television on his shoulder, be called an undocumented shopper? By what stretch of the imagination is the word "illegal" a term that describes hatred for an ethnic group? Let's get real! The fact is that these are red herring tactics used by those trying to defend an indefensible position.

So far so good. Well said sir! Now let's finish the work. Let us hear what a retired NYPD Detective Sergeant has to say about the rampant criminal acts being perpetrated on our southernmost borders.

So is it a stretch to say that the INS should provide less stringent regulation and allow a greater number people to become citizens? If that amount were to be doubled or tripled, would we have the same problems at the border? The large numbers of people crossing the border illegally are doing so because there are plenty of U.S. employers willing to hire them.

Consequently, it would appear to be a no-brainer that we should expedite those citizenship papers, allow them to become taxpaying citizens, and lessen the burden on the Border Patrol and on those people, who sincerely want to enter legally,
contribute to this country and build a better life for their families.

Huh? Wha' happen? We went from over 12 million criminals breaking our laws by flooding willy nilly over our borders (Pssst! Bob! Remember the house analogy? Burglars? Lawbreakers? Huh?) and somehow wind up with processing paperwork a bit faster to solve the problem.

One of the benefits of sovereignty is having the authority to control your borders. Once you no longer control your borders can you say you are still a sovereign nation? It has become quite obvious that the citizens of a foreign nation now control our southernmost border. Under these or other circumstances this could be called an act of war - an invasion whereby the citizens of another country (armed and unarmed) stream across the border to do as they like. And many of them seem to prefer killing, raping, robbing and stealing. Gee, sounds like an invading army, doesn't it? It is not by accident that a third of all California state prison inmates are not citizens of the United States.

But, using the aforementioned solution, could it be that Mr. Weir is recommending that Poland should have granted citizenship to the 1.8 million Germans who illegally crossed the Polish border on September 1, 1939? Likewise the Belgians, the Dutch and the French follow suit?

Hey - problem solved! WWII averted! Peace in our time!

Bob, you're a genius.

From The Front

I am always eager to hear from the guys who are actually doing the work. As a police supervisor I wanted to hear form my men what was going down, how they accomplished their assignments within the parameters of the orders they were given. Even if I couldn't change a thing I wanted them to know that I was listening and had a healthy interest in what they had to say. This is extremely important for morale and helps ensure that if there is a problem brewing, enough people trust you enough to let you know before it gets out of hand.

So on two different fronts I am glad to hear from the people directly involved in saving our asses.

From Arizona:
Sheriff Larry Dever, whose officers patrol Cochise County along the border between Arizona and Mexico, said he finds it “amazing” that the U.S. State Department would refer the recently passed immigration law in his state to the United Nations Human Rights Council for review.

“Well, it’s just amazing to me,” Dever told CNSNews.com. “Course, I have about as much regard for the U.N. as I do the vermin that hides in the rocks around my house here and reaches out and tries to bite me every now and then."

Well said sir!

And from our armed forces:

As he winds down one war and escalates another, President Obama is struggling to win over the troops he's leading as commander in chief -- and military advocates say the real test will come as the nation approaches final timelines for withdrawal in Iraq and Afghanistan.

[...]His progress among members of the military, however, has been slower. A Military Times poll this year of its subscribers -- which include active-duty, reserves and guard troops, and some retirees and family members -- found that a majority disapproved of his leadership as their commander.

Pete Hegseth, an Iraqi war vet, states that Obama appears to be taking credit for a troop withdrawal deal that was made under the Bush administration.

Mr. Hegseth said he has spoken with troops who are particularly annoyed by the administration's move to de-emphasize the radical Islamic dimension of the terrorist threat in favor of the term "extremist," and he described the July 2011 timeline for withdrawal in Afghanistan as an "albatross around the neck of our soldiers."

Also, well said sir!

I found out within the past few days that my daughter, Soldier Girl, will be going to Afghanistan within the next two months. I trust God that she will be returned to us safe and sound. She finally got out of training this month but her unit has already deployed. She was very disappointed that the Army changed her orders when she arrived at Fort Bragg. She didn't get assigned to a Combat Brigade in the 82nd AB as her original orders stated when she left Goodfellow AFB.

I know I cannot rely upon this administration to do what's right or even to describe what is happening with any degree of accuracy. But I know I can trust my Lord and Savior. And I believe that is also well said.

Driving While ???

There are just too many distractions for today's drivers. I see young people driving 70 mph staring at their laps because they are texting; I see women applying make up; I even saw a guy shaving. And now this:

A Cincinnati woman was simultaneously masturbating with a sex toy and watching a pornographic video while driving last week, according to cops who arrested her on assorted criminal charges.

Colondra Hamilton, 36, was pulled over last Tuesday evening in a traffic stop triggered when cops noticed she was driving a 2008 Pontiac with overly tinted windows.

That’s when officers noticed that Hamilton’s pants were unbuttoned. And she had a vibrator in her lap. Questioned by cops, Hamilton admitted to engaging in auto erotic manipulation, and revealed that she had also been watching a porno movie that was playing on the laptop of a friend in the passenger seat, according to an Elmwood Place Police Department report.

As a retired cop, I remember that short walk to the driver's door after you pull over a car. You're preparing yourself emotionally and physically for whatever happens. Depending on the situation, as I approached the driver I would sometimes unsnap my holster or even pull my revolver and get ready for whatever. But then again, I never heard a loud buzzing and moaning as I neared the driver's door.

I have no idea how prevalent the use of sex implements is. What are the options? Battery or plug-in or wind up? Plastic or latex? But using them while operating a motor vehicle is certainly not recommended.

Hamilton [...] was booked into the Hamilton County jail on a misdemeanor count of driving with “impaired alertness.” Hamilton was also charged with possession of drug paraphernalia since cops found a “broken piece of crack pipe” in her purse.

I wonder what DVD was being played during this sordid episode? Gives a whole new meaning to the movie, "Driving Miss Daisy." We're following this one at work just to see where it goes; any explanation given by the driver should be very illuminating.

Useless By Any Definition

Riddle me this:
Why aren't these black balaclava-clad assholes lying in a hospital bed somewhere in Toronto with a police baton embedded sideways up their colon?
Every time I see criminals who call themselves demonstrators racing through the streets of a beautiful city raising all kinds of hell I wonder, as did the inestimable Mr. Steyn: "What the HELL are the cops doing? Where are they? Why aren't they breaking heads, taking names and kicking some serious ass? What the hell are they getting paid for if not to protect the property of the people who are paying their salaries that pays their mortgages, buys their groceries and sends their kids to college?"

OK, the Toronto cops arrested 400 rioters ... out of an estimated 10,000.

Police used shields, clubs, tear gas and pepper spray to push back the rogue protesters who tried to head south toward the security fence surrounding the Group of 20 summit site.

Push them back? There should be 5,000 rioters staggering around Ontario Province right now looking for a doctor to stitch up gaping head wounds and set their broken bones. Working midnights we always had a flashlight in hand, a big one made from aircraft aluminum called a Kel Light. I once used a five or six D-cell Kel Light to take down doors.

Injuries such as those aforementioned were described as "Kel-Lightis" or "Kel-Lightatosis." The scars these instruments left were rather unique. It was very much like tagging migratory animals on the forehead.

Look at this; I see maybe one cop carrying a baton (not even a riot stick, looks like an ASP baton at the extreme right in the background) and one cop carrying a tear gas grenade launcher with extra grenades slung across his chest. What are the rest of the guys carrying? Nothing.

Not a single shotgun in the politically correct bunch. Here's a piece of advice: load up a bunch of scatterguns with number six shot and let those "demonstrators" have it in their legs or aim at the asphalt a few yards in front of them and let the lead and bits of blacktop ricochet into their calves and thighs. No pushing required, let the lead do the work like God intended.

I guess I'm more pissed off at their commanders and the politicians who obviously gave the orders to allow these rampaging fools to torch the City of Toronto. Maybe they feel that since the insurance companies and taxpayers will cover the costs of all the damage and mayhem there's no need to get nasty ... and act like cops. What a crock.

Thirty-Five Years Ago

This picture was taken during the first few days of January, 1975. It is the graduating class of the Central New York Regional Police Academy. Eight different LE agencies are represented here. No, I am not pointing out where I am.
About a week after this photo was taken, I was involved in my first balls to the wall police pursuit. My FTO was shooting out of the passenger window, four patrol cars were smashed up, three cops went to the hospital. The fleeing driver smashed his vehicle, a 1963 Chevy Impala, into a tree and was apprehended in the backyards. He received immediate wall-to-wall counseling.
The picture was sent to me by classmate Reuel Todd, who is now the Oswego County Sheriff. I will tell you where I believe he is; kneeling, second from the right. None of us look the same.
Three of my classmates have passed on, all from cancer. Two are standing right next to each other.

Lord, we were so young.

Police Academy

About six or seven years ago I received an offer to train police officers in one of four locations: East Timor, Bosnia, Iraq or Afghanistan. The company, a contractor for the DoD, offered $120,000 a year for this service. As I treasure my testicles, I knew better than to pass this by my wife so I never responded to the offer.

The following video shows what training Iraqi cops can do for your patience and communications skills:

Same Circus, Different Clowns

In a new book, "The Death of American Virtue: Clinton vs. Starr," scheduled for release in February 2010, the author,Ken Gormley, presents proof that federal prosecutors were preparing to indict Bill and Hillary Clinton for their roles in the Lewinski sex-for-dry-cleaning and the Whitewater scandals.

The Associated Press on Friday obtained a copy of the book by Gormley, a Duquesne University law professor, about the scandals that enveloped the final years of the former president's second term. Excerpts from the book were first reported Thursday on the Politico news Web site.

Calls seeking comment from now-Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton and the former president's foundation weren't immediately returned Friday.

Great, this is like my father telling me on his death bed that he had thought about mortgaging the house to buy me a Shelby GT for my 16th birthday. Like, why bother? Life is full of disappointments already, why dig up ones that are are over a decade old?

After Starr left office, his successor, Robert Ray, sent a message to the ex-president that he was prepared to prosecute Bill Clinton. The books says Ray "took steps to instill the fear of God in the White House."

"I wanted them to know I was coming," Ray said. "I was fully of the view that if I was not prepared to carry out the threat, it wasn't worth making."

I really don't like to use vulgar language to make a point. It indicates a coarseness of spirit and a lack of appreciation for more refined vehicles that eloquently transmit the range and richness of human emotion through the printed word. But sometimes, ya just gotta let 'er rip...

Mr. Robert Ray, you play with your prick.
"I wanted them to know I was coming,"
In your sock you stupid, useless sonofabitch.

"I was fully of the view that if I was not prepared to carry out the threat, it wasn't worth making."

It wasn't. Nothing happened. The lying bitch is now SecState and her felon husband is raking in millions while still lying out his ass.

This is just another tome full of self-serving bullshit from people who lacked the balls to do something when it really mattered but now want everyone to know they were in the game.

Ray is a federal Terry Malloy, a law enforcement celebrity wanna be.
Ray is really whining "I coulda been a contender! I coulda been somebody!"

Nobody cares asshole.
You were in the paint and you choked at the buzzer.

In a deal with prosecutors on his last full day as president, Clinton acknowledged that he gave false testimony in the Lewinsky scandal, heading off the threat of indictment. As part of the deal, the president said he gave false answers in a January 1998 deposition, but he insisted he didn't do so knowingly, an important element of the crime of perjury.

That wasn't a deal!
That was a gift!
Why didn't you take the shot?
Why piss me off like this just before Christmas !

We all know that in fifteen years we'll be hearing the exact same thing from federal prosecutors regarding their investigations of Obongo and Michelle the Wonder Wookie and all the rest of the Clowns in Congress.

Same stinking, corrupt federal circus where you pay and pay and pay to have them guess your weight and they sit their greedy asses on your face instead. And more Terry Malloys telling us that they had them in their sights but couldn't squeeze one off.

Rot In Hell

The murderer of four Lakewood police officers has been killed by police.

Huckabee, you're toast. You pardoned this animal and other Arkansas animals, one of whom then raped and killed a woman in Missouri.

In fact, an Arkansas Leader study indicated that Huckabee helped free more prisoners from 1996 through 2004 than were freed in the six neighboring states - Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, Oklahoma, Tennessee and Texas - combined.

I would like to see how many more of these animals he pardoned have re-offended. Let's get a true picture of the mayhem visited upon innocnet, law-abiding taxpayer by this Arkansas excretion ex-governor.

Too Close To Home

A Syracuse prostitution ring was broken by the Sheriff's Office over the week end. A married couple and four "working girls" were arrested on prostitution and drug charges.

Six individuals have been arrested on prostitution-related charges in the City of Syracuse. Onondaga County Sheriffs say that the arrests came after a yearlong investigation the business known as the New York Body Rub.

Detectives concluded their investigation by serving search warrants at four locations, arresting the six individuals and recovering business records and a small amount of drugs.

[...] Solvay is the home of business owners Kathy and Robert Slade. Both were arrested on charges of promoting prostitution, and permitting prostitution. Detectives found a small amount of marijuana and business records in the home. Kathy Slade was also charged with prostitution.

All the employees of the business, Lori A. Williams, 31, Jennifer Hamel, 35, Wendy Roberts, 34, and Kimberly Barch, 29, were also charged with prostitution and issued appearance tickets. Lori Williams was additionally charged with Criminal Possession of Controlled Substance.

What is weird about this is that the Slades live in my neighborhood, just up the street a bit. I have never met them but they have two children, a girl who graduated from high school last year and a boy who is a junior. My youngest daughter is a senior; she knows the boy a little and this has hit the poor kid real hard. You can imagine what the other kids are saying to him at school. It ain't pretty. It's the kids who really pay for this nonsense. My heart goes out for them.

Let Him Contribute As Worm Food

Lamaricus Davidson has been found guilty of the murders of Channon Christian, 21, and Christopher Newsom, 23.

The incredibly savage crimes of murder, torture, kidnapping and rape occurred in January of 2007. Little, if anything, has been mentioned in the media about the fate of these two white victims at the hands of black fiends. Even the idiots in the local media in Knoxville can't get it right.

They wanted the 4-Runner but wound up taking the lives of a young Knox County couple in brutal fashion, court records made public Friday reveal. "Originally the plan was to do a carjacking," a pal of fatal carjacking suspect Lemaricus Devall Davidson told a federal agent.

It's still not clear why the alleged carjacking confrontation between Channon Christian, 21, her boyfriend, Christopher Newsom, 23, and brothers Davidson and Letalvis Darnell Cobbins turned fatal.

It's not even known yet where the deadly encounter began.

I can't stand the political correctness of the media when it reports black on white crime. The race of the suspects isn't mentioned anywhere in the article.

It wasn't a confrontation - that's like an argument. Example: "It's eight o'clock, go to bed, honey'" says Daddy. "Hell no!," says little seven -year old Shelly as she empties a shotgun into her father's chest.

It wasn't an encounter - that's a chance meeting. Example: Fred encountered his old girlfriend Selma as he slowly strangled the life out of her mother.

It. Was. A. Crime. Not a confrontation or an encounter. Get it?

Two evil sons of bitches wanted a car that did not belong to them and decided to steal it from someone at gunpoint. They conspired to commit a crime, they planned a course of conduct to accomplish the crime, they proceeded to act in a manner that would facilitate the commission of a crime and they actually committed the crime. That is a crime.

Wait a minute. Maybe if Obongo was President back in January 2007 they could have gotten their own 4 Runner through the Cash-For-Clunkers program. This way they could have carjacked an old wreck without a fuss (no one in hteir right mind would fight to keep a 1982 Dodge Omni) and traded it in on a 4 Runner! Obviously this is another Bushitler related double homicide!

But it ended early Sunday morning in a seedy rental house on Chipman Street, where Christian and Newsom were forced inside at gunpoint, according to state and federal court records.

Newsom was shot, bound and his body wrapped up in bedding and set afire, according to a search warrant application drafted by Knoxville Police Department Investigator Todd Childress.

Perhaps if an ACORN representative was there on Chipman Street, the five black fiends could have been registered to vote. Being empowered by the opportunity to manifest their displeasure with society at the ballot box, they would have just killed the couple without gang raping both of them. Another Cheney related torture would have been averted!
Gee, I wonder if this would be considered rape rape by forensic expert/scientist Whoopie Goldberg.

Police would find his body later that day discarded like trash along nearby railroad tracks. Two days passed before Christian's battered body was found stuffed in a trash can in the Chipman Street house where, records show, Davidson and Cobbins had been living.

These victims (found alongside railroad tracks and inside trashcans) were obviously homeless after their death. Davidson, Cobbins and Boyd were denied the opportunity to provide quality, affordable housing in which to dump their victims. Another travesty committed by the Bushitler regime! If only ACORN had been there; ACORN helps people apply for loans that support various crime scenes such as whore houses filled with illegal aliens! Why not provide government backed loans for housing murdered stiffs?

But despite the obvious linkages to the Bush administration, Knoxville jurors so far have found all of the participants in the Newsome-Christian murders guilty. The latest verdict came two days ago when Lamaricus Davidson was found guilty of murder as well as 34 other charges.

Yesterday the trial went into the penalty phase as the death sentence is on the table for Lamaricus. Of course there are people who feel that Lamaricus should remain alive for, well, whatever reason they can dream up. Listen to this crap:

Foster mother Flo Rudd and group home mother Alice Rhea told jurors Davidson is worth saving despite the fact that he turned to robbery and, ultimately, murder despite their efforts to rescue him from a troubled upbringing.

“He’s my son,” Rhea said. “I love him. He has such potential. If you put him in a structured environment, he does everything he should.

Death is an incredibly structured environment. I also promise that he will do everything he is supposed to do when he is dead. He will decompose, just as he is supposed to.

But there are other advantages:
He will provide employment for the funeral industry.
He will not waste oxygen.
He will not damage the environment by producing CO2.
He will not commit anymore crimes.

"I think he can be an influence to young men for years to come.”

I also think that he will influence other young men for years to come if his execution (public hanging is the preferred choice) is recorded (in HD of course) along with the execution of every other murderer and shown with projection systems 24/7 on the sides of buildings in our nation's high crime areas. He should be executed without delay. Let his victims' next of kin piss on his grave.

Justice delayed is justice denied. ~ William Gladstone

On the morning of October 24, 1974, I was a 25-year old rookie sitting in the Central New York Regional Police Academy. I don't recall what the instructor was talking about.

Syracuse Police First Deputy Chief John Dillion walked into our classroom and announced the shooting death of Trooper Emerson Dillion on the NYS Thruway at the hands of an armed robber.

Trooper Dillion was thirty-eight years old. There were twenty-five brand-spanking shiny new cops in the room. Suddenly our new careers did not seem so glamorous.

The man who murdered Trooper Emerson is up for parole next month.

The following is a transcript of a presentation from WSYR, our local ABC affilate, prepared by Christie Casciano.

Trooper's widow fights to keep her husband's killer from parole

Phoenix (WSYR-TV) - 35 years after her husband was shot and killed on the Thruway near Canastota, a state trooper's widow is getting ready for another round in her battle to keep his killer behind bars. The killer has been in prison for 34 years, and will be seeking parole next month.

The pain for June Dillon is still deep from her loss on October 24th, 1974. That was the day her high school sweetheart and the father of her six children was gunned down on the Thruway near Canastota.

Trooper Emerson Dillon had stopped a speeding car near Canastota, unaware the two men in the car had just robbed a DeWitt jewelry store. No notice was given to troopers on the Thruway. “He didn't know there had been a robbery,” June Dillon said. “He just saw a car and he didn't like it and he stopped it.”

Emerson Dillon managed to return fire, striking the vehicle, and his killers were later caught. While newspaper articles have faded to yellow, the memory of that dark day, and the days that followed, remain vivid to June Dillon.

“I was watching the noon news with our dog,” she said. “I said well Murphy, it's not us, because we would have known. But I was wrong.”

The man who shot her husband, John Ruzas from Queens , now 66, was convicted of second degree murder and has served the minimum. In November, he will get another chance to ask for freedom.

Dillon says Ruzas shouldn't be granted anything because he has taken so much away.

“He didn’t see any graduations, weddings, or babies,” she said. The day of her husband's funeral, and through the years, Dillon has received support from the law enforcement community, and she's hoping they and others will join her now in her fight to keep Ruzas behind bars.

“I don't think anybody who kills a trooper, or anybody who kills a law enforcement officer, should ever have the possibility of parole,” she said.

Ruzas comes up for parole for the eighth time in November.

For June Dillon, it marks another year of remembrance and heartbreak.

This is the link to the NYS PArole Board where you can submit a letter regarding the parole of John Ruzas.

WSYR reporter Christie Casciano is married to a Syracuse Police Sergeant. We all thank her for her continuous support and for being the one to finally calm her husband the hell down.

One of Trooper Dillion' s sons is a Syracuse Police Officer. I had the pleasure and privilege of working with him shortly before I retired. He is an exemplary officer and is still serving his community and his County in this honorable capacity.

My Nomination For The 2010 Nobel Peace Prize

While grazing through Lucianne's I was apprised of the singlemost delicious, nutritious concoction on the face of the earth. Or for that matter, in its stomach.

The bacon cheese burger on a donut, or as I prefer to call it, the Police Quarter Pounder.

From ABC News:

[...] No, this isn't something out of "The Simpsons" or a reality TV show challenge. At just four inches in diameter, this little sandwich packs 1,500 calories. Meet the Craz-E Burger.

It's the latest bite of fair food to get attention this fall. It could be mistaken for your typical bacon cheeseburger from afar, but a closer look reveals the glaze of a fried Krispy Kreme donut.

This is a fast food junkies's dream. Believed to be invented by a bar owner in Decatur, Ga., who substituted a donut after running out of hamburger buns, he called it the Luther Burger, after Luther Vandross.

No matter the cost, we must identify the originator of this perfect confection for I am going to nominate him for the 2010 Nobel Peace Prize for his contribution to law enforcement nutrition.
So, if you're at a State Fair in the near future, be sure to pound down a Police Quarter Pounder or two.

MMMM MMMM MMMM!

Hie Thy Ass To Remedial Pistol Training

Stolen from Exurban League as reported in CNEWS:

LONDON -- The London man who dodged 19 police bullets as he fled a robbery spree denies taking a shooting stance, insists he told the pursuing officer he was unarmed and says he was clearly visible under a street lamp.

Holy Ricochets Batman! If this fleeing felon was a Matrix agent I could perhaps understand why nineteen 9mm Happy Loads were distributed haphazardly through the streets of London at 1000 fps without hitting the intended target.
Two words - Fire Discipline. If ya can't hit the damn thing, put your pistol back in your pocket, catch your breath and have a nice cuppa while the Range Officer who trained you is subjected to ritual disembowelment.

"He (the police officer) was trying to kill me," Paul Wayne O'Connell insisted yesterday in an interview with The Free Press from the Elgin-Middlesex Detention Centre.

I think the officer was actually imitating the High Speed Copper and Lead Fairy, just doing his part to give good little English children their daily minimum requirement of screaming fits and shattered glass. He was followed in close proximity by the Shit Your Pants Pixie.

"But I don't want his badge or compensation. I just want to get the help I need. Drugs have wrecked my whole life. All I wanted was to get better." O'Connell said he was "hoping to get caught" last Wednesday during a five-hour robbery spree so he could get out of the drug culture and into treatment.

But he was trying to help dearie! In a hellish version of Obongo's economic stimulus package, the officer in question was also providing economic relief to London's unemployed carpenters, plasterers and glaziers and an opportunity to train emergency care doctors and nurses.

I wish Mr. O'Connell luck in his quest for sobriety. That he has survived thus far is perhaps an indication that God indeed has decided to intercede on his behalf. So I will pray to the Father of All Mercies that He will deliver Mr. O'Connell from his addictions and that the London Metropolitan Police Department will never give that officer a shotgun or hand grenades.

Things Change

One of the most important elements of any criminal prosecution in America is the identification of the suspect beyond a reasonable doubt.

This has been a concern for law enforcement officials for millenia. In many ancient societies, criminals were branded or otherwise multilated in order to identify them.

A frenchman, Eugéne François Vidocq (1775-1857), of the Sûreté was the first person to actually try a system that used more scientific (and less brutal) methods to identify criminals. He simply proposed memorizing how people looked using policemen with above average memories - it wasn't much but it was a start. This was aided by the use of photography.

Another frenchman Alphonse Bertillon (1853-1914) developed a more rigorous system using physical measurements of the criminal. Starting around 1870, these measurements were rendered into a formula. About thirty years later the Bertillon System was discredited when it proven to be unreliable in a case in Kansas.

Fingerprints have been also been used to verify authorship or ownership for thousands of years. The Persians used them in the 1500's on government documents and the fact that no two fingerprints seemed alike was observed and a treatise written in 1686 by Marcello Malpighi, a Bologna , Italy, university professor.

The use of fingerprints as a means to ascertain personal identity slowly formed during the nineteenth century. In 1888 Sir Francis Galton, cousin to Charles Darwin, began to investigate the use of a criminal identification system based on fingerprints. The first criminal prosecution to actually use fingerprints to identify a suspect occurred in 1892 in Argentina. Both the Bertillon system and a rudimentary fingerprint classification system were in use in Argentina at the time.

In 1900 England adopted the Henry fingerprint classification system and in 1901 the Fingerprint Branch was created in Scotland Yard.

In the United States, the first government agency to utilize fringerprints for identifying criminals was the New York State Bureau of Prisons in 1903. In 1924 the FBI was ordered by Congress to create a fingerprint identification division. By 1946 over 100 million fingerprint cards were on file.

Now persons who are arrested are fingerprinted by special booking scanners. The defendant just palces his hands on the plastic lenses and a laser scans his prints. The prints are then stored in automated systems (AFIS) that classify them and search for hits.

Fingerprints are still a valuable tool, but the use of DNA has opened up entirely new identification techniques. DNA testing was haled as the new standard for criminal identification; states now routinely take DNA samples from everyone arrested for a fingerprintable offense (misdemeanors and felonies). This was widely greeted as progress, as the most accurate, infallable scientific method for determining the identity of a criminal or victim.

Until now.

Israeli scientists have shown that DNA evidence can be manufactured and used to implicate innocent people. In fact, for someone who has access to the equipment, it is easier to fabricate DNA evidence than it is to fake a fingerprint.

Of course this is not a situation where your typical crackhead will whip up a batch of fake DNA and smear it all over the prostitute he just killed. The equipment and skill set needed for this is still fairly sophisticated and beyond most citizens.

But I wonder about governments and the expensive laboratories they maintain...

MENE, MENE, TEKEL, UPHARSIN

MENE, MENE, TEKEL, UPHARSIN - that is the mysterious handwriting on the wall that caused Babylonian King Belshazzar's knees to knock together so badly that he sent servants to immediately bring Daniel to him for a translation (Book of Daniel, Chapter 5).

Harvard Professor Skippy Gates has also seen the handwritting on the wall in the form of 911 tapes that captured his cultured Harvard tones cussing out Sgt. Crowley who was trying to establish Skippy's ID so he could leave the premises. Skippy's knows what is on those tapes - he realizes that he should move on. As Skippy is a scholar he didn't even need the services of an interpretor.

Harvard scholar Henry Louis Gates Jr. says he is ready to move on from his arrest by a white police officer, hoping to use the encounter to improve fairness in the criminal justice system and saying "in the end, this is not about me at all."

Ohhhhhhh yes it was. Look at Skippy "Screaming Mad" Gates in this picture as he is escorted from the Front Porch of Shame.
Nope, not about me. Not here. Not now. This is all about a teachable moment and it's all on the tapes. Trust me. I was just teaching that cracker bastard Sgt. Crowley about inter-racial relationships and building bridges between our cultures. Really.

After a phone call from President Barack Obama urging calm in the aftermath of his arrest last week, the black professor said he would accept Obama's invitation to the White House for a beer with him and Cambridge Police Sgt. James Crowley.

In a statement posted Friday on The Root, a Web site Gates oversees, the scholar said he told Obama he'd be happy to meet with Crowley, whom Gates had accused of racial profiling.

As President Nixon found out, there is nothing like a taped conversation to bring a man to his senses. Of course Skippy credits the Magic Negro for his new found congenial attitude.

It was a marked change in tone for Gates, 58, who in the days following his arrest gathered up his legal team and said he was contemplating a lawsuit. He even vowed to make a documentary on his arrest to tie into a larger project about racial profiling.

In an e-mail to the Boston Globe late Friday, he said: "It is time for all of us to move on, and to assess what we can learn from this experience."

Gates did not immediately return phone calls and e-mails to the Associated Press on Saturday.

In LibrulSpeak, "move on" means "my ass is hanging out." He didn't need an interpretor for those tapes, but his legal team probably advised him of his exposure to other consequences if he did not back off on his rheotric. You see, in the real world where Harvard University can't armor plate your ass, you'd better listen to the pros.

Go figure - Sgt. Crowley is also contemplating a lawsuit for libel against Skippy. I would love to hear those tapes.

I wonder how much political pressure is being brought to bear on the Cambridge PD to keep those tapes out of public scrutiny?

Typical

Things got interesting today as the Obama White House proved to the nation that no adults are in charge.

First, this morning White House spokesman Robert Gibbs managed to cram both feet in his piehole at the same time by announcing that:

"I think the Fraternal Order of Police endorsed McCain," Gibbs fired back at reporters, referring to Obama's Republican opponent in the 2008 election. "If I'm not mistaken."

This was said in response to the stream of furious criticism directed at the White House by national police unions. Everything is political to Mr. Gibbs. His shallow assessment of police officers' outrage at Obama's kneejerk reaction does not do him credit.

Someone with a clue (not Gibbs) obviously got to Obama and made him realize that he has no idea what he is talking about in regard to Professor Gates' Operation Front Porch Cluster and he is managing to piss off about half a million people who carry firearms for a living.

But he still managed to screw it up. Instead of just apologizing to Sgt. Crowley and the Cambridge Police Department for speaking stupidly, Obama miscalibrated his piehole and threw it into mumble mode.

"In my choice of words, I unfortunately gave the impression that I was maligning the Cambridge Police Department or Sergeant Crowley specifically," Obama said, walking back his sharpest criticism.

That was not an impression dumbass. Vegas entertainers do impressions. Rich Little, Frank Caliendo and Kevin Pollack did impressions.

You made a declarative statement that the "Cambridge Police acted stupidly" and you said it in front of the press corps. Declarative statement are the sort of things that are introduced as evidence in a courtroom proceding. Impressions, being subjective, are specifically precluded.
But, the president said: "I continue to believe, based on what I have heard, that there was an overreaction in pulling Prof. Gates out of his home and to the station. I also continue to believe, based on what I heard, that Prof. Gates probably overreacted as well."

In the fantasy movie Hook, Robin Willliams (Peter Pan) tells Julia Roberts (Tinkerbell) that he believes. Today Obama claps his hands and informs us that he too believes in pixies/fairies and canards.

UPDATE:
A black Police Sergeant who was on the scene with Sgt. Crowley supports Crowley's actions and says that Gates was acting strangely, from the Chicago Tribune:

A black police officer who was at Henry Louis Gates Jr.'s home when the black Harvard scholar was arrested says he fully supports how his white fellow officer handled the situation.

Sgt. Leon Lashley says Gates was probably tired and surprised when Sgt. James Crowley demanded identification from him as officers investigated a report of a burglary. Lashley says Gates' reaction to Crowley was "a little bit stranger than it should have been."

Asked if Gates should have been arrested, Lashley said supported Crowley "100 percent."

A Piping Hot Cup Of STFU

Our Racial Commiserator in Chief needs to chill, not act the shill in a no win game of slap-tickle-hide-the-bigot. Obama needs to maintain piehole integrity until the facts of the case are clear.

The Harvard Idiot Savant Emeritus who was attempting to break into his own home and refused to supply police with proof that he actually resides in the premise needs to have his ass handed to him at the end of a stout length of cane.

No officer in his right mind is going to respond to a possible burglary in progress and then winsomely go about on other business because a possible suspect at the scene refuses to provide proper identification. Sure, we'll just take you at your word for it that you're not breaking into this residence. If Henry Gates had taken thirty seconds to produce his driver's license, this whole series of events would have never occurred. And if it actually had been a burglary in progress and the responding officers walked away without checking ID there would be hell to pay as screams of incompetent, uncaring racist cops would issue forth from this idiot and his race baiting play pals.

But the officer who responded to the call isn't accepting Obama's uninformed criticism.

A white police sergeant accused of racism after he arrested renowned black scholar Henry Louis Gates Jr. at his home insisted Wednesday he won't apologize for his treatment of the Harvard professor.

You can also listen to Sgt. James Crowley's statement

and then read the police report here.

It is a waste of the officer's time to think you are somehow "special" and the cops have to kiss your ass to get you to cooperate.

Guess again.

We don't. This is a sure recipe for the initiation of a technical process known as "jacking your dumbass up a few notches". Sometimes this process is necessarily accompanied by the concomitant application of "necessary and sufficient physical force".

I have applied these processes any number of times over a nearly twenty-five year span and they have always worked without fail. These invaluable processes also had an unintended collateral consequence - the person receiving this attention became smarter. This is usually the case with the exception of Harvard professors who think they are better than anyone else.

Now, Gates will devote the rest of his time wasting oxygen on this planet to the study of racial profiling. Hey, let's get it straight - fisherman fish where there is the greatest likelihood of catching a fish.

Read the 2007 federal UCR murder victimization and offender tables, it ain't honky crackers shooting up the 'hood. Although Blacks accounted for only 12.8% of the US population in 2007, they accounted for 49% of 2007 murder victims and 38% of all murder offenders. To shed a little more light on these charges of racism, look at the 2007 murders where the sex and race of both the victim and the offender are known. Blacks murdering whites is double the rate of whites murdering blacks (16% v. 8%).

Let me spell it it out anyone who is racially myoptic, let's do the math:
For the 3,587 white persons murdered in 2007, 566 (16%) were killed by a black offender.
For the 3,221 blacks who were murdered, 245 (8%) of the killers were white.

Victim/offender breakdowns within the same racial groups are not all that different.
White on white murders account for 81% of all white persons murdered in 2007.
Black on black murders account for 90% of all black persons murdered in 2007.

Obama stated that there must be a frank, honest discussion about racial matters in this country. I welcome those discussions. But first let us lay out the groundwork. Blacks are more likely to be murdered at a rate that is 658% greater than that of whites. And the overwhelming majority of those murders will be committed by persons of their own race.

The ratio of white homicide victims per 100,000 white people is 2.9 ... (6,948 white homicide victims out of a total 2007 white population estimated at 243,248,000).

The ratio of black homicide victims per 100,000 black people is 18.8 ... (7,316 black homicide victims out of a total 2007 black population estimated at 38,920,000).

This is completely unacceptable. This is beyond insanity.
Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson should be screaming from the rooftops for blacks to stop killing their brothers.

Stop the incessant beat of black rap and hip hop that is corrupting black youth - lovely black woman are not bitches and 'hoes. Stop the proliferation of unwed mothers and the destruction of families - for pity's sake don't have children until you and your SPOUSE have the ability to provide for them. Stop the flight of black youth from high school - the drop out rate is over 60% in some areas - and for the Love of Christ stop this damned victimization mindset. It's time for the black grown ups to finally act and take control of their culture.

But they don't. And neither does that useless piece of crap in the White House.

Instead they rail and race bait and make millions while their brothers die in the streets.

So much for an honest racial discussion from black leaders.
