Never Forget

Pearl Harbor was never forgotten or forgiven by those who lived through WWII. German-Americans were not locked up in concentration camps like the Japanese. It was the nature of the attack. Germany declared war and then sunk our ships. Perhaps not by design, but Japan attacked American forces hours before declaring war. The outrage experienced by my parents' generation was such that I was brought up to distrust any Japanese because of Pearl Harbor and the perception that the "dirty Japs" were never to be trusted. I have since learned otherwise.

More people were killed on September 11, 2001, then were on December 7, 1941; sixty years earlier only 55 civilians lost their lives. Nine years ago nearly all deaths were civilian. Already the memory is fading, the outrage cooling, the resolve waning among many Americans.

I know there are honorable Muslims but I am unlikely to accept them on face value. I do not want them to be placed in concentration camps, but I do want all visas for Muslims wishing to come to the US to be canceled until this sorry, murderous mess is sorted out.

The Muslims have never apologized for their use of unarmed civilians to carry out their attacks. In fact, they still blame us. Muslims danced in the streets as nearly 3,000 Americans lost their lives.
I will never forget the sight of Palestinians celebrating and giving candy to their children as Americans burned in the fires of 9/11.

I will never forget the treachery of Islam and it's arrogant marginalization of everything outside its narrow purview that led to this attack.

And keep your damn, stinking mosque away from GZ.

UPDATE: I had forgotten this. The US - your tax dollars - funds the Palestinians to the tune of millions of dollars every year.

In 2008 - $415 million
In 2009 - $300 million
In 2010 - $400 million

Now I gotta go break something.

Why They Want Us To Forget 9/11

I will never forget the morning of September 11, 2001. We were in our old office complex on the 12th floor of the downtown Civic Center. I walked by the office of the homicide bureau chief and noticed a small group of ADA's standing in the doorway watching a TV monitor. There was a story about a burning building of some kind and I asked what was going on. They told me that a plane had crashed into the World Trade Center. I looked at the smoke for a second and thought, "How the %^$# can you miss a building that size? Must be a suicide," and went back to my desk. I didn't know that it was a passenger jet.

A little while later I walked past the office again; there were a few more people watching the newscast. I stopped again and watched for a few minutes. I was told that a passenger jet had crashed into the WTC and that the building was being evacuated. Now I started to pay attention to what was being said on the television.

Then I saw the second plane crash into the other tower.

It was a truly gut wrenching moment. I felt as though I was physically punched in the stomach. Twice is no coincidence. Instantly, without a doubt, I knew we were at war. I did not know who attacked us; didn't care either.

Something was rising in my throat.
It was rage. I couldn't talk.

Those who seek to enslave us first must lull us to sleep. This is America. As a Japanese general officer once said, there is a rifle behind every blade of grass. For us to be defeated it must come from within. For too many decades we have been preoccupied with external threats and have ignored the internal ones.

The threat that will bring us to our knees is not the result of invasion, but from neglect. Our death as a free nation will not come from explosions but from rot.

That threat is being realized today in the form of the Democratic Party.

Let's remove the veneer of civility, the Democratic Party is controlled by socialist thugs who have patiently waited for the opportunity to impose their values on a sluggish. materialistic population who is more concerned with the number of chocolate chips in their cookies rather than their freedom.

Some have been diligently warning about this for a long time. To their credit, many people are finally waking up. Like a dreamer caught up in a nightmare and shuddering awake, we regain our prospective with Joe Wilson's heartfelt spontaneous utterance as a rallying cry, "You lie."

Rub the naivety out of your eyes America. Get your ass out of your suddenly cold and uncomfortable bed. We are still at war with people who hate what we stand for and if we are not diligent, we will surely find that, as a nation, we will no longer be different, we will be just like the rest of the world.

We will no be the incredible story of success and hope that the rest of the world longed to emulate. We will no longer be the coveted destination for the disenfranchised, the hopeless, the starving and destitute.

We will become just another socialist shithole that people seek to escape.

That is what Obama and his commie thugs have in store for America.

Who Is Jamie Gorelick And What Has She To Do With The Wall Street Bailout??

One of the commentors here asked "Who is Jaime Gorelick, anyhow? Didn't she have something to do with 9-11 that made her emminently qualified to go into the Federal mortgage business and make millions?"

In the mid-1990's, Jamie Gorelick was a Deputy Attorney General in the Justice Department during the Clinton administration. She instituted the infamous "wall" that was erected between the FBI and the CIA that prevented them from sharing anti-terrorism intelligence and ultimately contributed to the intel failure that helped the 9-11 conspirators succeed in killing three thousand Americans.

Gorelick claims that she did not invent the "wall," which is a

set of procedures implementing a 1978 statute (the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act, or FISA) and federal court decisions interpreting it." Gorelick did invent the wall. The wall was not a set of procedures implementing FISA as construed by federal decisional law. To quote Gorelick's 1995 memorandum (something she carefully avoids doing), the procedures her memorandum put in place "go beyond what is legally required...[to] prevent any risk of creating an unwarranted appearance that FISA is being used to avoid procedural safeguards which would apply in a criminal investigation." (Emphasis added.) As this rather straightforward English sentence illuminates, the wall exceeded the requirements of FISA and then-existing federal case law.

What the wall implemented was not the FISA statute as construed by the courts but rather Gorelick's overheated view of what would be useful to avoid being accused of misusing FISA. To be sure, it is often prudent for the government to hamstring itself beyond legal requirements; going-the-extra-mile improves the (already good) chances that courts will reject motions by defendants to suppress damaging evidence (like incriminating recorded conversations). It is, however, irresponsible for the government to hamstring itself when that means national security will be imperiled — which is what happens when agents are forbidden from communicating with one another.

She did impose the policies and procedures that aided terrorists in the murder of US citizens. Now, what does she have to do with the Wall Street bailout? Plenty. She went from one fiasco to another:

Even though she had no previous training nor experience in finance, Gorelick was appointed Vice Chairman of Federal National Mortgage Association (Fannie Mae) from 1997 to 2003. She served alongside former Clinton Administration official Franklin Raines. During that period, Fannie Mae developed a $10 billion accounting scandal.

On March 25, 2002, Business Week interviewed Gorelick about the health of Fannie Mae. Gorelick is quoted as saying, "We believe we are managed safely. We are very pleased that Moody's gave us an A-minus in the area of bank financial strength -- without a reference to the government in any way. Fannie Mae is among the handful of top-quality institutions." One year later, Government Regulators "accused Fannie Mae of improper accounting to the tune of $9 billion in unrecorded losses".

In an additional scandal concerning falsified financial transactions that helped the company meet earnings targets for 1998, a "manipulation" that triggered multimillion-dollar bonuses for top executives. Gorelick received $779,625.

So this incompetent bumbler laid an egg at the Justice Department and then repeated her act at Fannie Mae. The Clinton administration - the grift that keeps on grifting.

Weapons Grade Stupidity

Jonah Goldberg bags himself a trophy on this shot.

RENOWNED metallurgist Rosie O'Donnell proclaimed on TV on Thursday that Sept. 11, 2001, was a more significant date than most of us realized. It was, in her words, "the first time in history that fire has ever melted steel."

This, of course, came as news to steelworkers, blacksmiths, firefighters, manufacturers of samurai swords and other fools who hadn't realized that steel is forged in magic furnaces using dragon breath and pixie dust.

Rosie is also the very first woman to melt latex in an orgasmic furnace. She's working on a portable exhaust hood for those nasty fumes.

"Against stupidity the very gods themselves contend in vain." ~~ Friedrich von Schiller.

Rosie O'Donnell has penetrated the outer Stratosphere of Stupid and is now in High Self Esteem/No Smarts Orbit .

Rogues are preferable to imbeciles because they sometimes take a rest." ~~ Alexandre Dumas

Rosie has generated a veritable Singularity of Stupid, she has traveled over the rim of the Dumb Horizon and into the Realm of Quantum Idiocy.

"I’m talking about weapons-grade stupidity." ~~ Dennis Miller

It may be that Rosie is a Breeder Reactor for Stupid. Lord knows she is thankfully incapable of any other kind of breeding. In the uncharted and unused regions of her mind, blind Dumbtrons grope futilely for a coherent thought, collide and emit heat but no light.

O'Donnell made this and other profoundly stupid comments on the daytime talk show "The View," ABC's update of the ancient practice of women chattering around the village well.

It also redefines the need for the ancient practice of throwing women down a well just to shut them up.

[...] All she knows is that it's "impossible for a building to fall the way it fell without explosives being involved" and that, for the "first time in history, steel was melted by fire." Wink, wink. For the record, fire can melt steel, and buildings also collapse when heat weakens steel. But that misses the point. The point is we shouldn't have to argue with crazy people.

This is not crazy. Crazy people can be medicated and lobotomized. But there is no cure or therapy for stupid. You can't work on or with stupid. It's like whistling up a dead mule's ass. Over time you run out of breath and the mule just smells worse and worse.

"Genius may have its limitations, but stupidity is not thus handicapped." ~~ Elbert Hubbard.

Rosie has attained a level of stupidity that approaches biblical proportions. Rosie's Letter to the Idiotarians, Chapter 6, verse 13 - 18:

13 "Therefore put on the full Armor of Ignorance, so that when the day of Knowledge comes, you may be able to stick your fingers in your ears and go "La, La La, La, La, I can't hear you! Bush Lied!"

14 Stand firm then, with the Belt of Ridicule buckled around your enormous waist, with the Breastplate of Political Correctness in place,

15 and with your feet reeking with open sores that comes from cramming them in your mouth, over and over and over again.

16 In addition to all this, take up the Shield of Foolishness, with which you can extinguish all the bright lights of the Learned One.

17 Take the Helmet of Agitation and the Sword of Incompetency, which is the word of fecklesssness.

18 And stay on the View for every occasion with all other kinds of idiots and malcontents. With this in mind, be a lard ass buffoon and always keep shouting your lunacy, for all the moonbats doth love it.

"The ugly and the stupid have the best of it in this world. They can sit at their ease and gape at the play. If they know nothing of victory, they are at least spared the knowledge of defeat." ~~ Oscar Wilde

Ugly and Stupid. Rosie is truly twice blessed.
