That goes especially for me. It was disappointing, but the Republican Party was asking for a drubbing.
I tend to associate the GOP with conservatism; that hasn't been true for years. The Contract With America died a slow, miserable death; it's rotting corpse is still twisting in the wind. UNder the Republicans the largest entitlement in history was passed. And thirty days after it was approved, the government admitted that they underestimated its cost by a third.
Perhaps its the smirk on the faces of Pelosi, Kennedy, Frank, Byrd, et. al. that gets to me.
But God is still on the throne, the democrats can't change that...
