Long Day

I'm in Memphis tonight. My daughter is getting transferred to Ft. Bragg and is taking some furlough. I thought I'd keep her compay for the trip home. She picked me up at DFW at 1300 and we drove just beyond Memphis before finding a place to crash. God willing we will be back in Syracuse late Sat or early Sun morning. Been on the go since 0430 this morning and gotta get some rest. *yawn* My soldier girl is all through with training (2 years of it) and now, as she says, "I finally have a job." She's in the 82nd Airborne.

Thanks guys. Haven't been blogging for a few weeks, got a lot on my mind but not in the mood to talk about it. So great to have Soldier Girl home for a few weeks.

Wow. Wishing her all the best of everything.

Our daughter is an Independent Corpsman, Petty Officer 1st.

That is really special Kid. Lots of GIs owe their lives to the efforts of Corpsmen.
